My goal is to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere to capture your little ones at their cutest and brightest. From bumps and bellies to babies and birthdays, my experience with children helps them to feel comfortable in their surrounding, around me, and with the camera.
All portrait sessions are done outdoors in natural lighting, which is best in the mornings or late afternoons, depending on the season. However, I acknowledge that every child has their own schedule, so when planning a session, please choose a time when they are the freshest and in the best mood. I am very flexible and there is always time for breaks, snacks, and outfit changes. Sessions are usually between 1-2 hours long.
My shoots are generally done outdoors in Central Park. Please let me know if you have any particular request for a location elsewhere in Manhattan and I would be happy to accommodate. Travel outside of Manhattan may incur an extra charge.
Wardrobe! The key is to choose something comfortable for the child, and suitable for the day's weather. If the child is not comfortable in their outfit, it will cause them to be in a bad mood, regardless of how cute it may look. Choose clean colors with simple lines which are the most flattering. Stay away from busy designs and logos, such prints are distracting. If doing a group session, try to dress in colors in the same shade or that compliment each other, but they do not have to be identical. You are welcome to bring as many outfit changes as you like, as long as the child can be changed decently in public.
Optional items to bring, but are highly recommended: Snacks and drinks for breaktime. Bring along your child's favorite toy to grab their attention. Please have a cute blanket to sit on if you don't want them directly on the grass. It's also always a good idea to have a change of clothes in case they get themselves dirty.
After your session, I edit all images and you will receive a photo CD with all originals to keep in about 1-2 weeks. I also provide online hosting of your session photos for 3 months following your shoot, which you can use to send to family and friends. Professional printing services are also available upon request.
